What is with Alabama?

You might find the idea of a pastor defending sex toys a bit odd. But let's get practical here: moral opprobium is not going to stop anyone from using their appliance of choice behind closed doors. Neither will legislation.

And doesn't the State of Alabama have more important things to worry about?

Oh, and the people who wrote in the exemption for "medical purposes" might want to research the history of, uh, devices: they were first marketed in the 1920s as soothers of soref muscles (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

Thanks for the link, pastordan.

Sorry to all the Alabamians that are offended by my giving them grief, but somebody there needs to shake some sense into these rednecks. Or at least get them to stop talking to the Press and making fools of themselves.

To be fair, South Carolina, just one state below me isn't doing much better when it comes to common sense, after all it's home to the Christian Exodus movement, which plans to move "thousands of Christians to South Carolina to reestablish constitutionally limited government founded upon Christian principles."
